Responsible for ensuring that tax compliance matters are timely and accurately addressed for assigned company entities. Additionally this position ensures that income and other tax liabilities are properly reflected and disclosed in financial statements. Essential duties to include but are not limited to: Prepares federal and state income tax returns in accordance with applicable tax laws. Prepares tax provisions and assists in the preparation of related tax disclosures for statutory or GAAP financial statements. Prepares miscellaneous state and local tax filings. Assists in the research and analysis of tax developments and their application to specific business situations. Assists or lead in other tax department activities including projects research and tax examinations. Performs other duties as assigned. Requires BS/BA in accounting; minimum of 5 years of corporate tax experience either within industry or public accounting; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background. CPA or person eligible to sit for CPA examination preferred. Experience with insurance preferred.
